Enguany el col·legi Sant Josep inicia la participació al certamen literari en anglès anomenat THE FONIX. THE FONIX edició 2015 és el 8è concurs d’Anglès Interescolar de Catalunya. Els alumnes que hi participaran seran els dels cursos de 5è i 6è de Primària , tots els cursos de l’ESO i el Batxillerat.
El concurs està organitzat per International House, per l’Educació Catalana de l’Esplai i per la Secretaria General de Polítiques Educatives del Departament d’Ensenyament de la Generalitat de Catalunya com a activitat organitzada en el marc d’iniciatives vers l’excel·lència i en el Pla d’impuls de la llengua anglesa als centres educatius catalans.
El “8è concurs d’Anglès Interescolar de Catalunya” constarà de 3 fases eliminatòries. La fase local es realitzarà a l’escola. De tots els participants es triarà un alumne de cada grup com a màxim que passarà a la fase territorial i si algun d’aquests alumnes aconsegueix superar aquesta fase, passarà a la final.

All our students in the 5th and 6th level of primary school; students in all four years of secondary school; and 1st and 2nd Batxillerat have already taken part in the local stage competition of THE FONIX 2015. Students who are in the same year had to do the exercises on the same day and at the same time to demonstrate their skills in vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing expression.
All the teachers want to congratulate all the participants for their great attitude and motivation to do the tasks and also for their very good results obtained. The student finalist chosen from each grade will represent our school in the territorial stage on Friday the 28th of February in Barcelona.

GOING AHEAD WITH “THE FONIX”
As everybody knows, eight of our students from 5th Primary to 2nd Batxillerat participated on the regional stage of THE FONIX. Fortunately, all of them did a brilliant work and consequently got very good results.
We are very proud of our students and we would like to warmly congratulate all of them very much for their involvement in the project. We want to highlight the result of RUTH PINO (4th ESO) for her excellent performance on this issue. She has got the best mark and become qualified to participate on the final stage on the 18th of April. Congratulations for your success and we want to encourage you to do your best in the next stage!
On the whole, these successful results reinforce our conviction that the trilingual project is working properly and that we are in the right educational way which will lead us towards our ultimate purpose: reaching fluency and appropriate everyday use of the third language. Thank you very much to all the students for their involvement and collaboration. We encourage them to take part in any new activity suggested with the same enthusiasm.
FINAL RESULTS “THE FONIX 2015”
We congratulate Ruth Pino Higueras as she has won the final stage of “The Fonix 2015” and she is going to receive the award in the celebration which is going to take place next Friday 22nd of May.

Ruth Pino Higueras from 4th ESO has won the final stage of “Fonix 2015” and participated in the award ceremony which took place on Saturday 22nd where the diploma and the prizes were presented. We want to congratulate Ruth Pino and all the students who have joined in.
We want to remember that “THE FONIX“is the English Competition for Catalan Schools, designed to promote the use of English among school students.
It has been our first time to participate in it and it’s been a very successful experience for all our students.
We wish to repeat the experience next year.
