CHRISTMAS MARKET

At the end of the first term, our 5th graders were involved in a

mini-project about Christmas around the world, in order to work with

interculturality. In teams, they made some research about Christmas

traditions from different countries, they created their own flight

tickets and passports, posters and stalls.

At the last session, they set up a Christmas Market in the classroom,

and each team represented the country they had studied before. All the

students were able to “travel” to the other countries, find and fill-in

the information they were required to and get stamps from each country;

and the most important thing was that English was spoken the whole time.

To sum up, it was a fun, memorable, and magical way to learn about

different cultures and Christmas traditions all around the world!
