A TRAINING COURSE IN PHONICS
A group of Pre-Primary and Primary teachers participated in a course called STEPPING ON PHONICS given by Angela Cofino, a teacher and an expert in Phonics and the co-author of one of the English books we are using in our school.
It was a very rewarding experience for all the participants as Angela transmitted her enthusiasm and encouraged us to carry out with the project we have started in Pre- Primary and demonstrated its implementation with great success.
Teaching phonics should be to help children enjoy and have fun working with the sounds, work both on phonetic and phonological awareness, and prepare children for later reading and writing.
